Individual Counselling

The first appointment is used to complete a comprehensive assessment to ensure that we understand what your goals are and create a plan moving forward. Each following session is focused on helping the individual to process their emotions and experiences while also learning new coping skills to better manage challenges that may arise in the future.  A collaborative approach is always used to determine the techniques that would be best suited for each client.  Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy are just some of the techniques that can be used in counselling sessions.

This service is available to children, adolescents, and adults.

If at any time in the process it becomes clear that an individual would benefit from another form of treatment, a referral would be made and resources would be recommended to assist the individual in accessing the services that are better suited to their needs.
